Happy Birthday To Me!

I know it's a bit late, but happy birthday to me! I had an amazing birthday and am so glad I got to spend it with my family. I had a delicious cupcake and got to blow out some candles, though it was kind of scary! Then I got to open some really cool presents! I got some cars from the movie Cars from my grandma Joyce, a cool train from my aunt Shawn, and really tough monster trucks from my uncle Matt. And aunt Nikki got me a really fun big car that lights up and makes noise when you push the buttons. Really fun to use at night! And special thanks to mom and dad for the cool fire truck that lights up and has a moving ladder! I just can't believe I'm already 2! I had my 2 year check-up at the doctors yesterday and I've definitely grown over this past year! I'm now 35.75 inches tall (83rd percentile) and weigh 26.1 pounds (26th percentile)! Mom was thrilled with my weight gain and I was thrilled by the cool dinosaur sticker I got on the way out. To celebrate, mom took me out for my favorite breakfast treat: asiago cheese bagel with sun dried tomato cream cheese, or as I like to call it, a cheesy bagel! Yum yum!!! Check out my some cool videos from my special day so you can celebrate with me!

Birthday Weekend!

In case you weren't aware, my birthday is on Monday. Mom can't believe that I'm already going to be 2 years old, but I already feel like a 2 year old! To start off my big weekend, mom and dad took me to a butterfly house this afternoon. At first, it was really cool to see all these green plants and flowers and a ton of butterflies floating everywhere. Then it got scary when 3 really big ones flew right at my head! From that point on, I was very wary of all those butterflies, especially those flying close to the ground and therefore close to me. Thank goodness dad was there to carry me around and hold my hand. Things are so much less scary when dad is with me!

Tomorrow, my friend Juliana is coming over and we're going to a book event at the library. There will be lots of crafts and things to play with. Then she's going to come over to play and stick around for pizza! Mom says I can't open my presents until my actual birthday, but maybe she'll let me open just one tomorrow so Juliana and I have something fun to play with. Fingers crossed!

Party Time!

So all my cool friends are now turning 2 and that can only mean one thing: parties!!! I love the fun activities and hanging out with my friends. We get to jump around, play with bubbles and dance like total fools! And there is always a huge pile of presents to look at and wonder what is in all those boxes (too bad mom won't let me get close to them). After everyone has had a chance to catch up with each other and run around like maniacs, we all get to sit down for a yummy dinner of pizza, juice boxes and cake. The frosting is by far my favorite part!!! I can't wait until I turn 2 so I can have all the frosting I can eat!!

I'm A Riot

Just in case you didn't know, I love to make people laugh. I'm really good at making silly faces and acting totally goofy and I just love to hear the sound of dad's laughter. I really love to chase Emma around and get her to play with me. That makes me laugh more than anything in the world! But sometimes, I really just want to be left alone. Stupid papparazzi!

Happy Birthday, Dad!

Happy birthday to my dad! Happy birthday to uncle Tom! And happy birthday to our friend, Nickie!! We had a fun, low key day today. I worked really hard to make a cool card for dad and mom made us some yummy dinner and cake for dessert. But the hardest thing I did today was practicing how to sing "Happy Birthday" to dad. How do you think I did?

Crazy Winter

Yesterday, it was about 50 degrees and sunny here. That is a far cry from how this past January was. But the huge snow banks are still here! They are so tall they tower over my head. One day, after a big storm, mom and dad even let me help them shovel. I just wish the snow wasn't so deep. Poor Emma and I just sink right into it! Mom says it's starting to melt with this warm weather stretch, but I sure do hope I can have a few more sledding days before winter is over!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day! We had such a great Valentine's Day weekend and I'd like to share the highlights. We had some yummy pizza on Friday night and a super fun music class on Saturday. But the big part of the weekend was heading to a train museum to check out a cool city made of Lego's!! There were huge skyscrapers, an amusement park and aliens, all made out of Lego's. And the best part was the 4 Lego trains that were going on Lego tracks all around the cities! Plus there were other rooms with model trains and other cool cars and scenery's. After we hung out there for a while, we all went out for a yummy lunch. Today, I made dad a special Valentine and helped mom make a yummy dinner for us (I helped pick out the cupcakes for dessert). It was definitely a delicious day!

And if you really want a good laugh, check out the newest word I learned about a week ago!
