Rain again??

Can you believe it rained here yet again? Mom is totally sick of it and can't wait for summer. Oh wait, it is summer! And that means that the 4th of July is just around the corner! We're planning on going to the Vineyard for the long weekend and we can't wait. Keep your fingers crossed for sun!

Growing up so fast

This past week was a big week for us. Why you ask? Because I officially moved into my big boy crib! It was kind of traumatic for mom (she misses snuggling with me in the mornings), but so far it's going well. I enjoy all the extra room to wiggle around in. And I'm no longer being swaddled due to my wiggling. Hooray! My hands are now free for me to nibble on them throughout the night! Now mom and dad are talking about how to best get me to go to bed without relying on eating first. That sounds like quite the challenge and I'm not sure it sounds fun.

But we did have a very fun week! Mom and I were so busy with our friends! We went to the movies on Thursday and saw "The Proposal" (I slept through half of it but it seemed pretty funny). Then we went to lunch and shopping with more friends on Friday. We had brunch on Saturday morning with a very attractive group of ladies (I do love the ladies) and then a cookout at a friend of dad's house. Dad really loved the cake! Thankfully we had all day today to relax and nap since mom and I were both exhausted from all the activity. And it starts all over again tomorrow!

Happy Monday!

So it's still raining here. Blah. At least mom and I had our mom class today. We went to lunch first with our class friends and had some very yummy sandwiches. Class was so much fun today since I was introduced to my new favorite toy: the Rody. We bounced on them during songs and I just had to have one! Mom must have sensed this and bought me the lime green one. It's just the right size for my small room and I can't say enough good things about it. Here are some photos of me during class playing with my friends Ava (on the red Rody) and Julianna (on the green Rody). In case you don't recognize me, I'm on the blue Rody. :)

Happy Father's Day!

To all the dads out there, this post is for you! We went to the Vineyard this weekend and had a great time. On Friday, mom and dad celebrated their 10 year wedding anniversary. They look way too young to be married 10 years. On Saturday, we went to the Edgartown Lighthouse so they could show me where they were married. They told me about the day and how much I would have loved to have been there. It was great to share that special day with them. Plus mom got to get ice cream from Mad Martha's, just like they did on their wedding day! We also went to South Beach to see the beautiful beach. The waves were so huge! Mom dipped her toes in the water and said it was really cold. There were a few brave people swimming, but no way I would go in.

Since today is Father's Day, mom and I spoiled dad as much as we could. We slept in late and mom made breakfast for dad. We gave him a card we made and a custom coffee mug with my foot prints on it. I think he really liked it! To end the night, mom and dad made me take a bath. Mom dressed me up in this bear bath robe and I was so toasty in it. So toasty, I drifted off to sleep...

Rain, rain go away...

It's raining here. Again. Yesterday was really nice and sunny. Mom and I went for a walk with my new neighborhood friends Charlotte and Alexandra, and then we took Emma to the park for another walk. Glad we were able to enjoy the weather since it's supposed to be rainy for the next few days. We're going to the Vineyard again tomorrow for the weekend. Tomorrow is mom and dad's 10 year anniversary and they are looking forward to celebrating in Edgartown. And who could forget that Sunday is Father's Day?? Mom and I can't wait to spoil dad on Sunday.

This past weekend, mom enjoyed her girl's weekend with her friends. She said they ate a ton of food and did a lot of shopping. She even got me a cute onesie to wear next summer. Meanwhile, dad and I went to my friend Eveline's 1st birthday party. Dad passed me around to all the lovely ladies there and I thoroughly enjoyed it. And he remembered to bring mom back some cake so she was really happy. Dad says that I slept from 10pm on Saturday to 7am on Sunday without waking up; of course mom doesn't believe him.

Getting ready for the weekend

So we have big plans this weekend! Mom is leaving tomorrow morning for a bridal shower weekend and won't be back until Sunday. She's looking forward to it, but I know she is going to miss me, dad and Emma. I know I'm going to miss her! But that just means that dad and I are going to have a boy's weekend! We're going to my friend Eveline's 1st birthday party tomorrow afternoon. We'll probably spend the rest of the weekend watching the Red Sox and basketball playoffs since hockey ends tonight when the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup. Go Wings!!

Vineyard Fun

Mom, dad, Emma and I went to Martha's Vineyard this weekend and it was a blast! The weather was pretty nice and the water was beautiful. Dad did some yard work, but mom was sick so she didn't do too much. We walked around Oak Bluffs and saw the gingerbread houses. Too bad they really weren't made out of gingerbread, that would have been yummy. We also went to dinner in Edgartown and saw where the fishermen fish off the dock. Hope dad takes me fishing there someday when I'm big enough!

Last night, Emma and I were kind of silly. It made mom laugh and feel a little better. Mom is still kind of sick but I think she'll be better by the weekend. She had to have a filling redone so we went to the dentist today. It was really bright in there and Dr. Thai was super nice to me. Too bad mom's mouth is hurting a bit. Feel better soon, mom!!

Fun Visit!

On Wednesday, grandpa Cal and grandma Bina left to go back to Michigan. I was soo sad to see them go, but we had a wonderful visit! I was held practically the whole time and I got so much love! I got to run lots of errands with dad and grandpa Cal and it was fun hanging with the big boys. Here's a picture of grandpa Cal being silly and making me laugh. Grandma Bina and I had tons of good conversations about everything. It was so interesting and educational!! Mom says I get to see them again next month, I can't wait!!

Tonight, we're going to Martha's Vineyard for the weekend. Mom and dad love it there and tell me how much fun it is there. Emma loves swimming and running around there so I'm glad she'll have fun, too! Mom says we'll take lots of walks and visit the beach. She also said she can't wait to get a spinach and cheese croissant. She says aunt Shawn loves those too and she gets to have them next month when she comes to visit. I'll write more when we get back letting everyone know how my first big trip went. Wish us luck for a good ferry ride!!
