Change of Position

A few weeks ago, mom noticed that I was starting to roll over on my side. The nightly swaddle quickly came off after mom discovered me pinned into a corner of the crib. Shortly after that, I started rolling onto my belly. And then I became addicted to sleeping on my stomach. I love it! It's so much fun to flop over onto my stomach and then it's even more fun to chew on my sheets once my face is against them. But my favorite thing is to tuck my legs under and stick my bum in the air. There is just something so zen about having your bum in the air, you should definitely try it. It gives mom the feeling that I'll be crawling soon, but you never know!

Pool Party!

What a great time we had today at our pool party at Tyler's house! 8 of my friends were there along with their moms and dads. We ate a ton of yummy food and mom even enjoyed a beer (Nickie, mom wants you to know it was a Modelo Negro). The weather was hot and partly cloudy, perfect pool weather! Dad was holding me in the pool until he put my little turtle float in. Then me and my friend Juliana floated around in that and it was a blast (that's me on the left)! The turtle legs were quite tasty. Mom also got a picture of me and dad with my friend, Max, and his mom, Michelle. I was totally worn out by the end of the day (thanks for letting me nap on your lap, dad!). Tyler's mom said we can come back anytime. It seemed like mom definitely wants to come back during the week. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we get to go back lots of times!

4 Months Old!

I officially turned 4 months old this past Tuesday. To celebrate, mom took me to the doctors yesterday for a check-up and shots. I loved the check-up part, the nurses and doctor were all ladies so I had plenty of opportunity to turn on the charm. They said I'm adorable (of course) and that I weighed 14lb 3oz (34th percentile). I measured 25.75 inches which is in the 75th percentile. Dad was really proud of these measurements since it means I could be "long and lean" when I get older. Oh, uncle Marc, my head measurement is in the 42nd percentile which proves that I do not have a giant cranium. Anyway, things were going great at the appointment until the very end when 2 nurses cornered me and jabbed my thighs in sync with vaccines. It took mom at least 10 minutes to get my sobbing to stop. I was so worn out I slept a good 2.5 hours right after that. Hope my 6 month appointment goes better.

So to really celebrate my 4 month birthday, mom and dad put together my new exersaucer and I love it! There are a ton of things to look at and sounds and lights coming from all over the place. Here's a photo of me chilling out and enjoying it. Tomorrow, we're going to a party at my friend Tyler's house. He and his mom were in a class with me and mom at the beginning of the summer and the rest of my friends from the class will be there, too! It's going to be so much fun to see everybody again and show off my dad to all the other dads there. Mom made some coconut cupcakes for the party and I'm sure everyone is going to love them (I know dad sure did!). I hope it's warm tomorrow since there is a pool there for us to use. Can't wait!!!

Vacation Fun!

We got back from a wonderful vacation on the Vineyard a few days ago. I got to meet my aunt Shawn and my cousins Paige and Jessica and I just adored them! I also got to spend some quality time with my uncle Marc and grandma Bina and grandpa Cal. Frank, Jodie and Tyler were there too so we had a full house. We did a ton of things and I was exhausted by the end! We walked to town for spinach and feta croissants from the Black Dog bakery and then ate them in the gazebo by the water. We also went for a spin on the Flying Horses Carousel in Oak Bluffs. We went swimming in Lagoon Pond and also took Emma to Tashmoo beach for some refreshing fun. Grandma and grandpa even watched me one night so mom and dad could go Le Grenier for their anniversary dinner (mom loves that place!). We also hung out and ate tons of ice cream from Mad Martha's. Both dad and grandpa love their coconut ice cream. I can't wait to try it myself someday. Enjoy the pictures!

And I'm Back!

Sorry I've been gone from this blog for a while now. We had a long weekend on the Vineyard for the 4th of July and boy did we need to get away. Dad found out last week that our family room had a slight flood and it's been chaos since. The carpet is gone, half a wall is missing and mom says tomorrow the front yard is getting torn up. The good news is that we have a really great neighbor that we're getting water from (thanks Tom and Cathy!). But now that mom has our internet back up, I can start posting some more blogs. She's going to try and edit a few movies as well so I can post them, too. But she also needs to get ready for when uncle Marc and aunt Shawn arrive on Friday. Hope they don't mind a messy house!
